Sundeala hobby board is a recycled product made from newsprint and other like paper products. Chopped and mulched down, mixed with resins and compressed it is then cut into sheets to provide a great medium for layout nuilding.
You can cut it easily with either a fine tooth saw. Stanley knife or jigsaw.. It requires a frame of 50mm x 100mm (2 x 1) or larger if you want. Batten every 12 to 15 inches and then glue and screw down every 150mm. It will give many years of steady service.
Please note that being a recycled product. this board has a high moisture content. If situated in a centraly heated or air conditioned room it may show a tendancy to warp unless supprt battens are not close enough. if this is the case then 12 inch centres for battens will be required.
