SR GROUND SIGNALS

A pair of ready painted ground signals to add to your layout where normal higher post signals were not appropriate. These signals were added to track diagrams where shunting was needed. They resembled a small painted disk with a white background with the black bar across which was called a banner repater or red background with white bar across which was the equivelant of the home. Today we have colour lights on ground signals which resemble 3 lights in a triangle formation and the bottom left light is red with the bottom right light being white. Then there is an upper white light above the red light which is white. They are aften referred to as dolly's. They either show the red light or the two white lights. which are the proceed signal.
